Lots of discussions popped up about EA's intentions regarding exclusive licenses. Did they just make the business deal they HAD to make because the NFL was only offering an exclusive contract? Or did they push for the exclusive license?
Well, even though it is the New York Post (not known for accurate reporting), this is an interesting tidbit from an article on how other leagues are viewing the EA/NFL deal.
"EA Sports, which produces the "Madden" football series and has exclusive deals with Nascar, FIFA and the PGA, said it would prefer to have exclusive contracts with every league."
If EA is in any way trying to avoid looking like the Evil Empire of gaming....they're not doing a very good job.
